She rose up from her cot and stretched and yawned.
'Nalana was stiff from sleeping on the uncomfortable cot
near her workshop. She irritably blew a lavender lock
out from in front of her face as she went off to groom
her unwieldly mop of hair. After she was through with
her normal morning routine, she heard a scrambling and a
loud "grah" coming from her workshop. Running quickly,
she went to see if her project was safe.
"TARRG! What are you doing in here?!", the half-shee
yelled, a little harsher that she had meant to sound.
"Uh... dusting the equipment?", the blue eyed grendel
studdered sheepishly.
"Suuuuuure you were, Tarrg.", was 'Nalana's responce.
"Well, are you going to tell me what this big hunk of
glass and wires is for, or not?", Tarrg prompted, somehow
quickly recovered from the repremanding.
'Nalana couldn't stay angry at Tarrg for long.
"Well, it's kind if complicated, you may want to have
a seat, this could take a while!"

Terr'an was strolling down the main avenue of the
ancient Shee city. Vendors, Norn, Ettin, Grendel and
almost everything in between, were hocking their wares
in their shops or stands. The immense sun was almost at
the center of the sky, denoting that it was almost noon.
She stopped at various stands and shops. Normally, she'd
leave all the market tasks to her mate, Tarrg. Terr'an
wasn't much for the hustle and the bustle of the busy
city. She preffered the peace and quite of her home in
the trees outside the city's limits.
However, something had prompted her to come to the
city today. The blue tressed pixie norn had absolutly
no idea what she was waiting for, but she sense that it
wouldn't be much longer. She sluggishly sauntered into
one of the cafes and ordered a coconut/carrot shake and
sat down in some mercifully cool shade.
Just as she began to savor the smoothy, something-no,
someone- stepped into what little light was coming into
her corner.
"Hello? Can I help you?", she inquired politly.
The person blocking the light was a very large male
shee. He was inky black from tip to tail, save for a
pair of gold eyes and several streaks of his hair which
were silver. Thoses golden eyes were fixed squarely on
Terr'an and his jaw was set in a way that bespoke an
unwillingness to put up with any resistance.
"You have very interesting genes, lovely lady norn.",
the shee said, faintly drooling. "Let's see what we can
make of you!" he added.
"Wha, what do you mean?!", Terr'an said, her anxiety
level reaching a dangerous level.
"You will come with me to my lab, we will discover the
key to finding the Geet," the golden eyed stranger said.
"Look, I don't know who you are! Leave me alone! I
don't want to go with you... you.... you FREAK!", Terr'an
screamed.
"Enough of this! Come!"
He grabbed her arm and stared into her eyes. Engery
was faintly crackling around him in small gold bolts.
Terr'an felt her will being quickly crushed, no matter
how hard she resisted. Her eyes took on a glaze and she
seemingly walked away with the Shee of her own will.
Seemingly.

The hand was doing his normal rounds around Albia when
he came accross a creature he had never seen before
hobbling along. It had the torso of a grendel, the legs
of an ettin, one arm was nornish and the other was grendel,
the head was half ettin and half norn and the tip of the
scaly tail was furry.
With how it was walking, the hand thought that the
creature was drunk. Finding drunk creatures was almost
unheard of due to Albia's only distiller disappering some
time ago.
"Where did you find the hootch, lil' guy?", the hand
inquiered.
"I'm not drunk, this is how I always walk.", it replied.
"Where are you from? My records don't show the birth of
a creature with your description," the hand asked, courious.
"I wasn't born, I was spliced," it said.
"WHAT?! How can that be? Splicing is illegal!"
